Pocket Con 2023 Recap | Chicago's Celebration of Diversity in Comics and Art Welcome to the Pocket Con 2023 recap! Hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), this year’s Pocket Con celebrated the power of diversity in comics, art, and pop culture. From teen-created video games to cosplay competitions, panels, and workshops, Pocket Con 2023 brought together artists, fans, and families in a creative, inclusive space. The event featured amazing performances by local artists, hands-on workshops for all ages, gallery tours, and a marketplace highlighting creators of color. ✨ What Happened at Pocket Con 2023? Live Performances from Rai Musica, Electric Mothership, Jovan Landry, and an interview with Eve Ewing Interactive Workshops led by artists like George Gant and Monstrochika Tournaments & Gaming Zones featuring Super Smash Bros., Brawlhalla, and teen-authored games Cosplay Central with cosplay contests and support from Chicago POC Cosplay and Costumers with a Cause Artist Portfolio Reviews and networking opportunities with the Stomping Grounds Literary Arts Initiative We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined and made this event an incredible success!
